Remember those old arcade games you used to play as a kid. You would be given three lives, or three chances. With each life, the goal was to get further than the previous attempt. Eventually, finishing the level, or finishing the game. I remember Super Mario Brothers. I remember level one. In fact, I'm sure if I played it again, I would still be able to complete the first level without losing a life. The thing about Mario is, despite the endless hours glued in front of the TV I never finished the game, it was fun at first, then I obsessed, and then eventually I got bored of it.
It's the third time she's been in Hong Kong, it almost feels like the last chance before it's game over. Technically, it's not my third chance, there have been others. I remember she once described it as "watching a kid trying to put on two left socks". As with the last time, I have not been allocated any time.
